About the Doctor
Dr. Monte J. Meldman is a distinguished life fellow of The American Psychiatric
Association. He is board certified in Psychiatry, board certified in Medical Hypnosis, and has passed the
first exam of The American Society of Addiction Medicine.
His interest in pain treatment began with using hypnosis for treating the pains associated with addiction
withdrawal. He then began using medications to treat pain and learned about chiropractic tools for ArthroStim,
which advanced his pain treating skills.
Since many of his obese patients had severe back and neck pain he continued on until he found about spinal
decompression and how it had helped several of his patients who failed to improve after spinal surgery. He has been
using the spinal decompression device developed by Dr. Kennedy and likes the fact that he does not have to
overcharge patients, because the machine is not as expensive as the older technology in spinal decompression.
Dr. Meldman has written 105 published articles in peer reviewed journals and five books on technical psychiatric
subjects. The psychological factors involved in Pain Relief Therapy are of great interest to the practice of
psychiatry, and Dr. Meldman’s deep understanding of this connection has given him the ability to handle a great
variety of mind and body problems involved in pain management.
Dr. Meldman is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. He interned at St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh
and took his residency in Psychiatry in the Psychiatry Department of Cincinnati General Hospital. More information
can be found about Dr. Monte J. Meldman, MD, on Google where some twenty pages are written about his career.
